We have been regular guests at Casa Benedict for almost ten years, staying in Casa Alicia, and its just like having your own home in the sun without the hassle. An easy 40 minute drive from the airport along a good, fast, empty road, the villa is continually well maintained, modern, and always, always spotlessly clean. The living room is spacious with plenty of storage so there is no need to have books, magazines and other possessions lying around in bags on the floor. The sofas are really comfy, not those ghastly things often found in holiday accommodation which have hard wooden arms and are so low that getting up is a major effort. The bedrooms are a really good size with loads of wardrobe space so all the clothes can be put away and the suitcases too, so you don't find yourself having to negotiate an obstacle course in the middle of the night. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with plenty of work space so you can prepare a meal for the family without having to do a balancing act with the plates. Outside the gardens are beautiful and the pool area is a dream with no need to get up at the crack of dawn to bag a sunbed because there are enough for everyone. The water is inviting thanks to the Proprietor's devotion to its maintenance and of course, its only a few paces from the front door. Plenty of car parking too right next to the villa. Ian and Jan are the perfect hosts – nothing is too much trouble and if you have any problems they are dealt with and resolved straight away. They provide such a warm welcome and their hospitality and vigilance continues throughout the stay which makes it all the more sad to bid farewell when its time to go home. Finally, the icing on the cake are Mr M and Mrs T, in-house rent-a pets, who were just adorable, great company and jolly good at guarding too. You simply could not ask for more – highly recommended.

Returned again to this wonderful place. Had a fabulous 2 weeks here with the family and as usual Jan & Ian were so friendly and helpful. Nice and relaxing , the villa is so comfortable and clean, grandchildren enjoying the pool and having fun, not far from Mojacor beach and restaurants. Been a few times and definitely will return. Thank you for a wonderful time.

We had a lovely holiday at the Casa Helena, the villa was clean and tidy and had all the amenities that we needed for a 10 night stay, the owners Ian and Jan were always very helpful and answered any questions we had on the location, the local villages are a must to visit and most have market days once a week. I would recommend Casa Benedict to anyone, and we will deferentially be back for another visit soon

We really enjoyed staying here, it was quiet and relaxing. The apartments have all the mod cons necessary to make you feel as if you were in your own home. There's a really nice pool and the the town of Turre is withing walking distance. The beach is only 10 minutes away by car. We hope to return in the not too distant future. Jonathan

We spent 2 weeks in Casa Helena & we couldn't fault it at all, we had the most relaxing & lovely holiday ever. The property was just perfect for us, my sister & family came out for the 1st week & they stayed in casa Alicia which was identical to the villa we stayed in. The property was ideal as everyone had their own space but we were able to utilise the outdoor eating area & pool to all enjoy our holiday together. The villa was very clean with all homely items you could possibly think of being supplied. Jan & Ian were very welcoming & our children & nieces loved making friends with Francesca! The property is perfect for children as its a really safe area, the pool, pond & park proved a big hit with our children. There's lots to do close by, although a car is needed you don't need to drive very far to local supermarkets, restaurants, beaches. The water park & go karting track are all within a few minutes drive. I'd definetly recommend this property to family & friends & hopefully we will be booking again for 2018.

I arrived at Casa Helena with my family on Saturday 22nd July and was greeted warmly by the owner Ian who gave us a thorough and detailed tour of the Villa as well as key information we needed about the area. This was not the only contact with Ian though. Indeed he was extremely helpful over the following seven days providing us with information about the local area whenever we asked. The Villa itself was perfect for what we required. Having traveled with my husband and two children (aged 7 and 2) the Villa was the perfect size for our needs and became a relaxed home for us for the next seven days. In addition to this, my father and his partner had also traveled with us and were staying in the accompanying Villa opposite. This provided us with our own space but also meant that my children could run between us and their grandfather's villa whenever they wanted which was really lovely and beneficial especially first thing in the morning while we prepared breakfast! While the location is semi rural, you are in close proximity to several small towns with Mojacar and Garrucha particular favorites of ours during the stay. There is plenty to do in both areas. The beach at Garrucha is beautiful with a range of activities on offer for families with excellent restaurants along the beachfront also. The Moorish town of Mojacar is truly wonderful and I only wish we had spent more time there in the evenings. At the Villa itself, most time was spent in the pool. My seven year old son arrived at Casa Helena a non-swimmer and left a confident swimmer who no longer needed armbands. He was able to spend as much time as he liked in the pool. It was safe and clean. He loved it and many days asked to just stay around the pool. Likewise the baby pool was ideal for my two year old who on the first day didn't want to go in the pool, but by the end of the week was jumping in. The surrounding area to the Villas are perfect for young families, The owners have installed a small play area for children which was a real bonus addition for us. There is a lovely seating area for evening barbecues with both a charcoal and gas barbecue on offer. We hired a car for the duration of our stay, which is needed to allow you to explore the area fully. There are many things to do in the area. You could go to the Villa and have an action packed holiday while there or savour the tranquility of the area. For us we had the best of both worlds while there. I would certainly recommend this property.

Ian and Jan looked after us like we were family when we stayed in Casa Helena. Everything was spotless, the villa had everything we needed, and the pool was amazing. They were so kind to our two small children, lending them toys to use on the beach, giving them an ice cream one hot afternoon and playing with them in the pool. The bbq in the evening and the beautiful location meant we had relaxing evenings after busy days. All in all a perfect stay and I would thoroughly recommend it.

The family’s recent stay was a great success. We were already familiar with the local area and finding the villa was particular straight forward but the directions sent to us by Ian and Jan where helpful. The Villa could be seen as a little isolated and you would need a car. However, we thought it was in an excellent location with great views and a short distance from the beach and local town Turre by car and would be ideal for young families looking for a Villa that was not over looked. We found Jan very accommodating throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. We were very fortunate to have the pool to ourselves and the kids loved it. Although it was a bit chilly as not heated and not had the full summer sun on it. The children’s play area is a bit dated and in need of some improvement although Jan did confirm that this is a future project. Overall we had a great family holiday and would not hesitate to recommended it to other families and friends groups as the benefit of having separate villas on site is great as you can socialise in the large outside area but also retreat to your own villas for some privacy.

Casa Helena provided a perfect base for a 6 week escape from the cold and gloom of an English winter. We enjoyed the peaceful rural setting almost as much as our dog who loved being taken out for easy walking straight from the villa gates. Although not luxurious, the villa itself was comfortable, clean, well equipped, and spacious. The outdoor space around the swimming pool is lovely and the garden looks as though it will be very pretty in the summer. Ian and Jan were perfect hosts, friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The nearby small town of Turre is a half hour easy stroll and has bars, restaurants and a good supermarket. Mojacar Playa is only a 10 minute drive and has lovely beaches and a very good choice of bars and restaurants. The surrounding area, both coastal and in the mountains is attractive and accessible and, importantly for us, offers good walking. Our experience was sufficiently enjoyable for us to book a return trip - an obviously strong recommendation.

Cannot find fault with any aspect of this stay at Casa Benedict. We stayed in Casa Helena which is a home from home well equipped comfy villa. Lots of space and everything you need. The location was great, charming and peaceful with Turre and Mojacar nearby. Ian and Jan could not have been more helpful. I had a medical emergency whilst there and honestly they were amazing to us. The garden is beautiful and the pool area is large with plenty of loungers, 2 bbq's and is a welcome site after a hot day at the beach or just as lovely to sit and relax around the pool all day. For those who like their TV there are many English channels and we watched most of the Euro's there. Of course I have to mention Mac and Tia resident dogs who we feel in love with and miss them so much. Cannot recommend Casa Bemedict highly enough and can't wait to go back. Have recommended to all friends and family. Wish we were there right now. Thank you Ian and Jan.

Just got back from having a month in Casa Helena, Casa Benedict and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Ian and Jan were very helpful with all our needs, nothing was too much trouble. The villa was in a very peaceful area which gave us a very relaxing break. The listing description was accurate. Regarding restaurants, we enjoyed meals at the Chinese restaurant on the Playa and Le Lance also on the Playa. Would recommend a holiday at Casa Benedict. Alan and Margaret

We were in the area looking to buy a property, and Casa Benedict was the perfect place to come back to relax after a busy day looking at other properties. We stayed in Casa Helena. The Villa was beautiful and immaculate and was equipped with everything we needed. Ian & Jan the owners of Casa Benedict made us feel thoroughly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. They were also a great help answering our questions about the different areas we were looking at, the local estate agents and giving us sound advice about buying a property. It was wonderful getting to know them and they make you feel so welcome, their dogs, Tia and Mac are very gentle friendly dogs and they do like to welcome you back at the end of a hectic day. A destacar la hospitalidad de los dueños. Estuvimos con dos niños pequeños que se lo pasaron muy bien, es ideal para niños. Si vuelvo a Almería no dudaré en alojarme allí.

Wij verbleven in 1 van de 2 villas voor ongeveer 2,5 week en hebben absoluut genoten van de rust, de omgeving die ver van alles weg lijkt maar toch heel dichtbij het strand en alle leuke kustplaatsen is. Het leent zich ook uitstekend voor de sportieve mensen onder ons als U van wandelen of fietsen houd kunt U hier vanuit de villa op de fiets of lopend de woestijn verkennen, soms met verharde paden en soms gewoon over de rotsblokken heen. Wij waren met twee kinderen van 9 en 13 jaar en ook zij hebben zich prima vermaakt in het zwembad en op de in ruime mate aanwezige ligbedden en schaduwplekken. De eigenaren zijn uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam en niets is hun teveel. Ook onze hond heeft genoten van het gezelschap van hun twee lieve honden tijdens de gezamenlijke wandelingen in de woestijn en op het omheinde terrein met olijfbomen, en het prieeltje in de schaduw. Leuk detail, vanuit ons slaapkamerraam konden wij Mojacar pueblo zien liggen met al zijn mooie witte huisjes. Kortom wij hebben een fantastische tijd gehad. Ook hebben wij met veel plezier gebruik gemaakt van de aanwezige gasbarbecue die wij vrij konden gebruiken. Wij zijn dan ook zeker van plan om hier volgend jaar weer terug te komen. We stayed in 1 of the villas for about 2.5 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The place is located in a quite area but very close to the beach and all the charming towns. Out of our bedroom window we could see Mojacar pueblo with the lovely white houses but at the same time enjoy being away from the action when we wanted to. For the active people it is also a nice place to go walking or bikeriding in the desert which starts around the corner. Our 2 children of 9 and 13 years old enjoyed their stay at the pool area and in the villa with wifi. There are more then enough beds at the swimming pool and also in the shade. The owners Ian and Jan are lovely and help you with all you may require. We will certainly try to come back next year. Our young dog enjoyed the company of their two lovely dogs on the walks in the desert and on their premises making her holiday a lot nicer too. So yes we had a terrific holiday worth 5 stars.

We found everything that was promised was delivered, and more. The Villa was clean and tidy and ideal for our requirements. The cooking and other equipment provided was much more than I could have expected, and in many ways made our stay a better one. I found the owners to be attentive to all our needs and very helpful in many other respects. No complaints. Returning soon, and often.

I stayed here for 3 glorious weeks in August 2014 with my 14 year old daughter and great friend, Joy. The idea was to have a quite base to explore the area, well we couldn’t have chosen better. Casa Benedict is only a short distance from the madding crowds of Mojacar village and playa, so we could enjoy a very relaxing time around the lovely pool without being overlooked by numerous apartments, when we weren’t exploring. Our apartment had everything we needed, even English TV should you need a respite from the heat or just a catch up when getting ready. The views from the roof top terrace, are completely uninterrupted, I could never get tired of looking at the Sierra Mountains whilst sipping a nice Rioja with friends, pure bliss. However the best part of a stay at Casa Benedict has to be the hosts, Jan and Ian, they are truly amazing, nothing is too much trouble. On one of the days, we held a small party around the pool and Jan even drove into Turre to buy extra ice when we were running out, that is service. I can’t recommend Casa Benedict highly enough, for us, it was Perfecto! Hope to see you again soon, Jan and Ian.

A quiet location, with an excellent swimming pool. If tranquillity is what you are after this is it! The house was clean and tidy, although we did have to buy things like coffee filters and washing up liquid, so it may be best to bring your own.

Just returned from a lovely week in villas Casa Helena and Alicia with our family group of 7. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Both villas were well equipped and comfortable and the hosts Ian and Jan could not have been more helpful. The location is perfect and the pool area was very much enjoyed by us all. We have just had two weeks very relaxing stay at Ian's villa over the Easter holidays. The weather was excellent and we spent a good deal of time either on the balcony of our comfortable villa or relaxing beside the pool. The villa has everything you need to enjoy your stay; quiet location, but within easy reach of the beach and local towns and villages. The views of the mountains are magnificent!

This holiday property is exceptional in every way. First off, this property is huge! It is very well cared for and absolutely beautiful. Hosts Ian and Jan are just about he nicest, most welcoming and accommodating people you could ever hope to meet. The villas have everything you need and are very comfortable to live in. My boyfriend and I are world travellers. We came here intending to only stay a month but we loved it so much we ended up living here for two and a half! There was no need to move on, we had found the perfect paradise. Honestly, I would recommend this property to anyone looking to relax and have a quality retreat. By day you can explore Mojacar, the great beaches, other up and coming areas or just kick back by their gorgeous pool. This house makes me feel a little like I am staying at the playboy mansion - but only in a good way! The property and house are so grand that it does make you feel quite glamorous. So if you want to feel like a million bucks this is the right vacation destination for you. Casa Benedict is also great if you have children. As I mentioned before there is a great pool including a separate shallow area which keeps kids entertained for hours. Plus there are about 3 acres of land where kids can explore. There is even a pond with fish and other wildlife in it! If staying here, no kid will be bored and no parent won't be able to relax. If we make our way back to this part of Spain we would without a doubt check into Casa Benedict. Not only because we love the property but because we love the hosts. Overall, an exceptional property in every sense of the word. I am hoping we get a chance to "pop by" again soon. Thank you Ian and Jan for everything, we loved our stay. xx

As a family, we had spent many years visiting Mojacar in the summer and, after an absence of 3 years, we wanted to find a suitable base for reaquainting ourselves with the area. The road network had improved significAntly in that time and we were surprised, but delighted to find that it was only an 8 minute drive from our villa to Mojacar Playa. The villa itself (Casa Helena) was exactly as described, with 2 reasonably sized bedrooms, small kitchen & shower room and a balcony overlooking the beautifully kept pool - ideal for the kids! We had pretty well everything we needed - (including a flatscreen TV!) though it would have been nice to have air-conditioning in every room (not just the lounge) and included in the price. The friendly owners live on site and were available at all times to help and advise - very useful. A great holiday!

This property was exactly as expected , and more. It was well equipped,very well maintained, and the owners were friendly and informative. Its location was ideal for the short journey to the various nearby resorts, and also for exploring the numerous inland villages.

The villa lived up to all expectations, in an idyllic spot with lovely mountain views. The pool looked very inviting but February was not the month to try it. Ian keeps the gardens beautifully. The villa was fully equipped we wanted for nothing, and what is more there is adequate heating for any chilly evening that may arise, for us "out of season" visitors.
